Hannah Redford (she/her)
Hannah has over 10 years of experience working in disability, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and the NDIS. Hannah has 6 years of experience as an NDIS support coordinator. Hannah has children on the NDIS, so understands the system from many perspectives. Hannah excels at making the complex simple, explaining all facets of the NDIS to people, and is passionate about helping everyone get the most out of their NDIS plan.
Being a Support Coordinator, Hannah found that over half of NDIS participants do not get funded for Support Coordination, so they are left to figure out the NDIS themselves, often with little knowledge or support. Even participants who do get funded for Support Coordination often don’t get their plan, their funding, or the NDIS explained to them. This often meant participants did not know what supports and services they could get with their NDIS funding, or how to find supports. Many people have contacted Hannah in the past who were too scared to use their NDIS funding in case they did something wrong. So Hannah developed a new idea: Plan Decoders.
Plan Decoders can help participants to understand the NDIS and get the most out of their NDIS plan, even if they are not funded for Support Coordination.
Hannah is an NDIS expert communicator, who loves talking about all things NDIS. She talks in plain language, so you, your carer or family members can get a better understanding of how everything works in NDIS land.
Hannah is so passionate about the NDIS, she even hosts a podcast all about it. Hannah’s podcast is called: ‘What in the NDIS now?’. In the What in the NDIS now? podcast, Hannah and her friend Sam talk to participants and providers about all things NDIS. If you want to get to know a bit more about Hannah, and the NDIS in general, you can check out What in the NDIS now? which is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Youtube, or wherever you get your podcasts. You can find out more about What in the NDIS now? here.
